WHAT IS KUDO
KUDO is a modern Japanese martial art that combines full-contact striking, throwing, and ground fighting. Founded in 1981 by Grandmaster Takashi Azuma, it blends Karate, Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and boxing into one dynamic system.
KUDO is practiced with protective headgear and gloves, allowing for realistic, full-contact sparring in a safe environment. It’s suitable for all ages and skill levels — from beginners to experienced martial artists.
More than just a combat sport, KUDO is rooted in Budo philosophy, promoting respect, discipline, and personal growth. Students are taught to value honour, self-control, and humility alongside physical skill.
The Kudo International Federation (KIF) governs KUDO globally, with over 60 countries participating in international tournaments and seminars.
In Australia, KUDO is growing rapidly, KUDO offers a complete martial arts journey that builds both body and character.
